The car-free village of Mürren sits on a plateau 1650-meters (5400 feet) above sea level in the Bernese Alps and provides breath-taking views of majestic mountain ranges, towering on the other side of the Lauterbrunnen valley. The village has managed to retain its rustic character and quiet old-world charm and is surrounded by unspoiled natural beauty and clean, crisp mountain air.
Mürren’s skiing region is the highest in the Bernese Alps and ensures the best skiing conditions during winter months, with more than 50 km (26 miles) of exciting slopes that can take you from the Schilthorn summit (2970m above sea level) straight to the front steps of the Hotel Regina.
In summer, the village is an ideal starting point for walks and extended hikes.
The village features a sports center, which is open year-round and provides an indoor pool, sauna, steam bath, massage services, basketball-, volleyball-, and tennis- and squash courts, and in winter, an outdoor ice skating rink. Enjoying the indoor pool and ice skating rink is complementary for guests of the Hotel Regina.
